About Mind & Beyond

Who we are

Welcome to Mind & Beyond, where we are dedicated to empowering you on your journey to mental and emotional well-being.

My name is Dana, and I’m the founder of this practice. I’ve wanted to be a psychologist for as long as I can remember. Even as a child, I was captivated by the human mind—curious about how people create worlds like Lord of the Rings, innovate, love, and adapt. That lifelong fascination with what drives our thoughts, emotions, and stories led me to this path.

As an expat psychologist, I see identity as a puzzle built from many pieces. Living in different cultures has taught me to take elements from each place I’ve called home and shape them into something uniquely my own. That same sensitivity and adaptability shape the way I work—with respect, openness, and a deep understanding of cross-cultural psychology.

My Professional Background

I am trained in Clinical Neuropsychology and Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology, with specialized training in:

  • CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy)

  • EMDR therapy (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing)

  • Internal Family Systems (IFS therapy)

Over the years, I’ve worked with diverse populations—expats, students, families and individuals with neurodevelopmental conditions—including those with ADHD and autism. My academic journey actually began there: I wrote my bachelor’s thesis on ADHD and one of my master’s theses on autism in women—long before I realized I was a late-diagnosed ADHDer myself.

That personal insight has helped me connect even more deeply with the clients I serve. I understand what it’s like to live with a busy mind and a sensitive nervous system, and I use that understanding to create a therapeutic space that’s dynamic, empathetic, and affirming.

Clients often describe me as curious, compassionate, and full of energy—someone who can hold space for both structure and flexibility.

A Holistic Approach

Outside of the therapy room, I keep balance through movement and creativity. I enjoy weightlifting, running, hiking, and swimming to recharge my mind—I’ve learned that when my body is tired, my brain works better. I also love painting, learning new hobbies, or doing something spontaneous like trampoline parks or mini golf (classic ADHD energy!). That spirit of curiosity and playfulness is something I bring into my work as a therapist everyday.
